What is remarkable as one arrives at the monastery is the panoramic view of the landscape which overlooks the bay of Fort-de-France. Here are two views:


In the opposite direction, to the north, les Pitons (hills) du Carbet with their rounded summits.

When we are in the monastery, we have the church to the north (see photo, opposite),
The refectory to the south,

And the monks’ cells to the east, (opposite) which makes for an almost square surface similar to the cloisters of monasteries built according to the traditional layout.
